POSITION SUMMARY

Participate in full software development lifecycle including requirements, design, development, testing/bug verification, and auditing. Develop proof of concepts that can be presented to clients in a pre-sales capacity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act in a consultative capacity with client and/or prospect staff to identify requirements for custom development projects.
- Develop and maintain systems or applications involving a wide variety of programming and languages.
- Involved in/familiar with all phases of software lifecycle (i.e., design, testing, and implementation).
- Identify and understand key client and/or prospect technical requirements and articulate how they are addressed by SAVO
- Modify, repair, or expand existing programs to correct errors, increase efficiency, upgrade interfaces, or improve performance.
- Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.
- Perform trial runs for testing and analysis on software and systems to identify problems.
- Research and remain informed of new technology and development tools.
- Experience working in project teams.
- Research and follow up on technical issues related to sales opportunities; inform, mentor and train colleagues, customers, and partners.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-3 years work experience in a technical environment (will also consider recent graduates)
- Solid development experience in one or more of the following technologies, and demonstrated the aptitude for learning new programming languages. .Net 2.0 and 3.5, ASP.Net, VB.Net, AJAX, C#, MVC, SQL, XML, Relational Database Design, VBA
- Must be an excellent communicator with demonstrated ability to present technical solutions in-depth including having a comfort level presenting both functional and technical material
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Degree in computer science, math, engineering, MIS/CIS or related technical field is preferred
- Knowledge of design patterns, refactoring, and unit testing is a plus
- Ability to write and understand reason for code
- Salesforce.com or CRM development a plus
