Ask two questions. First: who writes the code? Most agencies buy a WordPress theme, swap your logo, and bill it as custom. If the answer involves a page builder, you're paying agency prices for template work. Second: ask to see PageSpeed scores on sites they've shipped. Slow sites lose rankings and customers, and the scores don't lie.
Then look at their own portfolio with real client names attached. An agency that won't name its clients is telling you something.
How much does custom web design cost?
Every project is custom-quoted based on the number of pages, features, and complexity your business requires.
